KARO MALMIVAARA karo.malmivaara@cult2.tpu.fi The point of departure for my work is a space and a situation in a made environment wherein a set design formulates the function and the method of action. I wander from point to point making choices in the prevailing circumstances and find myself in situations where I experience two things: The feeling of homelessness and the contamination of my method. Through positioning myself at a for-the-present closed landfill the manifestation of this natural phenomenon rendered it possible that for a fleeting moment I felt at home. |
